25 Years of Tylö – Silver Anniversary
Our association with Tylö began back in 1982, when each company recognised the potential of the other to open up and develop the untapped UK market for sauna and steam, well before the word 'wellbeing' entered everyday English language.
Initially working from a small office and using an old barn for storage, we set about putting the Tylö name on the map exhibiting at trade and retail exhibitions around the country and advertising the brand in the national consumer press.
As the use of sauna and steam developed, SPATA, the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association approached Golden Coast as the company with the most experience in this area, asking us to write the 'industry standards' on sauna and steam - these same standards still apply today.
Over the years many of our dealers have visited the Tylö factory in Sweden to develop their knowledge of the Tylö brand and understand the philosophy behind the company. More recently we took a delegation from the press to the infamous Ice Hotel where they were able to experience Tylö sauna bathing in a most unusual environment.
With a dealer network that covers the UK, the past 25 years has seen Tylö sauna and steam installed in many homes throughout the country together with installations in a variety of commercial applications including health clubs and spas, hotels and corporate gyms. There’s even a Tylö sauna in a Sunseeker super yatch!
In 2010 we were pleased to help Tylö celebrate their 60 years in business and to be the first international company to achieve the new status of Tylö Certified Distributor
